Cari Gleeson still finds herself with the same love of horses she had when she was five. As a child she showed ponies in New England. Her small stature kept her in the pony ring until she was eighteen. Earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Education at Ohio University, she taught elementary school for ten years while pursuing a career on the A circuit as an Amateur. When her first daughter was born in 1994 she left the public school system, but continued to show and bring along green horses.
Her daughters, both quite accomplished on their own, began riding in 2002. It was a natural progression for her to teach them. She took a trainer position at Maypine Farm in Willoughby Hills, Ohio; her passion for horses and teaching united.
