Meghan Kelley has an extensive background in both Hunters and Dressage. She began horseback riding lessons at the age of eight and was soon competing on the A circuit where she won numerous awards and accolades. As a young teenager she began training and competing in the discipline of Dressage. In college Meghan rode for the Allegheny College IHSA Team and led the team as Captain her junior and senior years. She continues to pursue Dressage and has excelled at various levels including competing in Regional Finals multiple times.
Meghan began her teaching career at a young age at a summer riding camp in Vermont. Eventually she co-directed the camp and co-managed the barn where the camp was located. She continues to advance her depth of knowledge by participating in advanced trainer workshops and clinics, PATH workshops for therapeutic riding and plans to begin workshops for becoming a certified show judge. She strives to use her experience and formal instruction to foster confidence, safety and achievement with her students. Meghan has worked with several trainers in New York, Vermont, Pennsylvania, and Ohio including Debbie Barmaster, Jessica Van Eyck, Halli Bidwell, Nancy Smith, Nancy Stanton and Carel Eijkenaar.
For the past two summers she has taught summer riding camp at Chagrin Valley Farms and continues to teach private horseback riding lessons. She enjoys teaching horses and students of all ages and incorporates the foundations of classical dressage in all her horseback riding lessons program.
